INNOVENTZ FORMS CLINICAL RESEARCH CONSORTIUM

Proactive Orchestration of Services Will Enable Them to Grow Beyond CRO.

Pasadena, CA—January 3, 2011—Innoventz Corporation, a leading-edge provider of data management services for clinical research, has formed a consortium to provide excellent and comprehensive clinical research services for the medical device arena.  Along with Innoventz, this consortium includes Northwest Clinical Research Group (NCRG) based in Seattle, WA and Sunnyvale, CA, as well as Chellew Clinical Outsourcing (CCO), out of the San Francisco Bay Area, CA.  The strategic goal of the consortium is to provide to medical device companies a proactive, integrated offering of services in regulatory affairs, clinical operations, and data management.  Although growing in expertise and domain skills, the combined experience of the consortium represents a strong background in the cardiac, vascular, orthopedic, and diabetes/insulin therapeutic device areas.

Designed to allow operational independence yet with seamless coordination as needed for each project, the consortium features the leadership and skills of three veterans in the clinical research industry.  For example, Roberta Hines of NCRG, a well-known and seasoned consultant for medical devices, will be leading the pre-clinical and regulatory affairs services for the consortium.  In contrast, Marlys Chellew, with her successful and growing CCO consulting and resources firm, will focus more on provision of clinical operations.  And, Osman Qamar president of Innoventz, will direct strategy and implementation of clinical data management consulting and project services.  In addition, Innoventz will serve as the marketing and sales headquarters for the shared business development goals of the consortium.

Osman Qamar, president of Innoventz, commented:  “In our company development, we soon realized that proactive data management often begins with a strategic, more comprehensive view in the early stages of a customer’s development.  Our customers need answers and solutions in all areas of regulatory affairs and clinical research, and not solely in the important area of data management.  Through this business model, we intend to meet the needs of our customers where they are at in their development process.  This approach benefits our valued and respected consortium partners; but, it also benefits Innoventz, for we can gain access to windows of opportunity for serving our customers when they will have a key need for data solutions.  With a business model that includes front-end marketing services to our consortium members, we look forward to learning more about the trends and customer needs in this complex and dynamic industry.  Our consortium partners continue to provide valuable direction and feedback.”

The consortium partners recently signed a co-marketing agreement that represents the intent and scope of their combined offering of services for the medical device industry.  In so doing, they wish to emphasize that their reach is not isolated to the western states.  Even now the consortium members are serving and or discussing business with companies all over the country.  Also, the consortium works within a network of trusted partners and affiliates who can support national and even international provision of services.
